Day 01: Varanasi Arrival: Welcome to Land of Ganges – Uttar Pradesh, On arrival meet our representative and proceed to hotel. Check in at hotel. Later Transfer to Sarnath – where Buddha gave his first sermon. Visit: Dhamek Stupa, Mulagandha Kuti Vihar, Chaukhandi Stupa, Sarnath Museum. Evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat (Varanasi). Stay at Varanasi.
Day 02: Varanasi – Kushinagar (258 KM / 7 hrs Drive): After breakfast proceed to Kushinagar – the place of Buddha’s Mahaparinirvana. On arrival check in at hotel. Visit Mahaparinirvana Temple (Reclining Buddha statue), Rambhar Stupa (cremation site), Mathakuar Shrine, Stay at Kushinagar.
Day 03: Kushinagar – Lumbini (Nepal, 3 hrs drive): After breakfast proceed to Lumbini – Birthplace of Buddha,Cross the India–Nepal border (ensure valid ID/visa if required) On arrival visit Lumbini Complex like Maya Devi Temple & Sacred Pond – This ancient temple marks the exact spot where Queen Maya Devi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama, who later became Buddha, around the 6th century BCE, Ashokan Pillar – Erected by Emperor Ashoka in 249 BCE. Lumbini Monastic Zone – Eastern Zone: Theravāda Buddhist monasteries (Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia). & Western Zone: Mahāyāna & Vajrayāna monasteries (Tibet, China, Japan, Korea). World Peace Pagoda (Shanti Stupa), Stay at Bhairahawa.
Day 04: Lumbini – Bodh Gaya (8–9 hrs drive / or fly from Gorakhpur + drive): After breakfast proceed long drive or take a train/flight to Bodh Gaya, On arrival free time for stay. Stay at Bodh Gaya.
Day 5: Bodh Gaya – Full-Day Pilgrimage Tour: After breakfast proceed to Sightseeing like Mahabodhi Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Bodhi Tree – site of Buddha’s enlightenment, Vajrasana, Sujaata Garh, Great Buddha Statue , International monasteries (Tibet, Bhutan, Japan, etc.) Evening meditation option at temple premises, Stay at Bodh Gaya.
Day 6: Bodh Gaya – Rajgir – Nalanda – Patna: After breakfast proceed to visit Rajgir (71 KM)- a place deeply associated with Buddha, Mahavira, and ancient Indian history. Venuvana (Bamboo Grove)- A serene garden gifted to Buddha by King Bimbisara. Griddhakuta (Vulture’s Peak) – where Buddha preached, Rajgir Ropeway – Takes you to Vishwa Shanti Stupa on Ratnagiri Hill. Japanese Peace Pagoda, proceed to Nalanda University Ruins – Founded in the 5th century CE, it was one of the world’s first residential universities. Had over 10,000 students and 2,000 teachers from India, Tibet, China, Korea, etc. & Museum (UNESCO site) Continue to Patna (108 KM), On arrival stay at Patna.
Day 7: Patna – Vaishali – Sravasti (via Sitamarhi or Balrampur) 490 KM Long Drive: After breakfast proceed to Visit Vaishali – a sacred and historic place associated with Lord Buddha, Lord Mahavira, and the world’s first known republic. On arrival visit Ashokan Pillar – Erected by Emperor Ashoka in 3rd century BCE, Relic Stupa (Buddha’s Relic Stupa) – One of the eight original stupas containing the relics of Lord Buddha. Vishwa Shanti Stupa (World Peace Pagoda) – Built by Japanese Buddhist monks. Later drive to Sravasti. On arrival Stay at Hotel.
Day 08: Sravasti – Sacred Sites Tour: After breakfast proceed to visit Jetavana Monastery (Jetavana Vihara) – Second-most visited place by Buddha after Rajgir. Ananda Bodhi Tree – Planted by Ananda during Buddha’s lifetime. Angulimala Stupa – Memorial to Angulimala, a bandit who was reformed by Buddha and became an arahant (enlightened monk). Sehat Mahet Ruins, later back to hotel. Stay at Srawasti.
Day 09: Departure: After breakfast, drop at Varanasi Airport/Railway Station for onward journey
