Day 1: Arrival Hampi: Pick-up from Railway Station / Bus Station. On arrival proceed to Hampi, on arrival check in at hotel. In the evening Discover the Mahanavami Dibba, a grand platform offering insights into the Vijayanagar Empire’s royal ceremonies. Take a guided tour of the Queen’s Bath, known for its Indo-Islamic architecture. Explore the Royal Enclosure, once the administrative center of the Vijayanagara Empire. Visit the Lotus Mahal, an exquisite blend of Hindu and Islamic architecture. End the day at the magnificent Vitthala Temple, known for its famous stone chariot and musical pillars. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 02: Hampi Sightseeing : Check-in at the hotel and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Begin your Hampi exploration with a visit to Virupaksha Temple, one of the oldest functioning temples in India. Spend some serene moments by the Tungabhadra River. Explore the Hemakuta Group of Temples, offering stunning architecture and panoramic views. Admire the Monolithic Bull (Nandi) and visit the Kadale Kalu Ganesha & Sasive Kalu Ganesha shrines. Witness the grandeur of the Ugra Narasimha Statue, a striking monolithic sculpture. Visit the sacred Badavi Linga, the largest monolithic Shiva Linga in Hampi. Explore the mystical Underground Shiva Temple, hidden beneath the surface. Stay at Hampi.
Day 03: Badami & Heritage Exploration (148 KM) : After breakfast depart for Badami, the historical capital of the Chalukya dynasty. Explore the stunning Badami Cave Temples, rock-cut temples dating back to the 6th century. Spend some peaceful moments at Agastya Lake, surrounded by ancient structures, Visit the Bhoothnath Temple, located along the lake’s banks, offering a mesmerizing view. Explore Aihole, the “Cradle of Indian Architecture,” and visit the remarkable Durga Temple. Discover the Pattadakal Group of Monuments, a UNESCO World Heritage Site showcasing Chalukyan architecture. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 04: Hampi Surroundings Exploration and Departure: After breakfast Check out and visit the Tungabhadra Dam, a marvel of engineering, and enjoy the scenic surroundings. Spend time at the Backwaters of Tungabhadra, a tranquil retreat. Climb Hanuman Hill (Anjanadri Hill), believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. Visit the sacred Pampa Sarovara, associated with the Ramayana. Explore Nava Brindavan, a pilgrimage site dedicated to Madhva saints. Discover the ancient Durga Temple, nestled amidst rocky landscapes. Explore Anegundi, one of the oldest settlements in India, and visit Sanapur Lake. Enjoy a breathtaking sunset at Malyavanta Raghunatha Temple, offering panoramic views of Hampi. Return to Hospet for a drop-off at the railway station or bus station, marking the end of your journey.
